This week's A.P.T.- HAMLET

Not the prince of Denmark. A new production of it.

A twitter connecting contest!

As ConnectorCon gets closer and I keep lining up great speakers, I have had the concept of making connections on my mind a lot. So I thought that I'd devote today's blog to a connection making contest.

Here are the rules:

Do you leave a mint on the pillow? Tell us how and win!

When I go to a really nice hotel, I love the fact that when I come back, there is a mint on the pillow. It says to me that the hotel staff decided to take one extra step in making my experience that much more enjoyable. It sounds crazy, but if they stopped providing the mints, I would seriously consider switching hotels. 

This is a great time of year to ask yourself in your business what your "mint" is. Do you personally call your clients to wish them a happy holiday? Do you send your clients a tote bag just because? etc.

And since it's the holidays, I am giving something away!

Well the Purple Contest ended up being a lot of fun and after much deliberating we finally chose a winner.

Tom Atkins idea about doing theatre testing the way that films do screen testing really resonated with our judges so he was the judges pick!

Extension!

So I've been getting some great entries in our Purple contest and want to keep things going. I am going to extend our deadline until September 5th. If you have not registered for it, info is below.

The assignment: Come up with a proposal for something in our industry that would be Purple.

Make sure you click the link to see what I'm talking about, then let your imagination run wild. Don't worry about the size or scope of the project, just come up with something in our field that would fit the bill and leave it here as a comment.

The Prize: Your own copy of Purple Cow, and a $50 Starbucks gift card.

So last night I had a really great PLAE class and I gave a very challenging assignment.

So I thought I'd give all of you the same assignment.
