That is what my blackberry looks like right now. It will not turn on and I am currently waiting for a replacement from Fedex.
This has made this weekend completely different from other weekends. I have been unreachable for the past two days and as a result:
1. I enjoyed a quiet afternoon with some friends
2. I answered my email in one shot at my computer
3. I went to a party and met a bunch of new friends
4. I watched some television.
5. I took a nap
It was nice.
This has been a sobering experience for me as I now await the new phone and one that I will not soon forget.
Have you gone phoneless?
It's something I'd love to try more often.
Just a thought.
Excelsior!
Only 7 days left to support Band of Gypsies 2 and $4,475 to go. Help us out by going here!
It's great when this happens. When I'm working, I often switch off my phone or put it somewhere I can ignore it. At weekends, I have been known to completely leave the battery to drain out and the freedom it gives is incredibly valuable. Faster, more effective communication is brilliant, but being contactable any hour of the day or night is just not good for my sanity.

I've tried a new approach in the last week that has worked wonders. I make a solid email checking effort twice a day (early AM and late PM). When I'm at my computer during the day, I shut off the email screen so I only realize I have new email when the alert pops up. If it's important I open it, if it's not I let the email rack up until the end of the day. It's super freeing and I can concentrate more on what is important!
