Nice recommendation, Michael! I know I've found myself in this situation before, on both sides, and it's always a quandry. It's a big issue, I think, in the theatre world. We feel like we have to look out for ourselves first and foremost (which is true) but it seems like we've lost the ability to share. Whether it's not telling a fellow actor about an audition because you want to have a better chance at being cast in a role or blocking out fellow producers or directors from meeting that important person, we need to learn how to be more generous and forward-thinking. Otherwise, we may well be having that conversation alone!
