Either you are sitting in a conference you don't want to be at, a show that is boring you, or a meeting that seems like it's never going to end. If your day is especially crazy you may even encounter all three. You can either just sit there and suffer or you can do something productive. Here's what I suggest:
1. Register why you are upset and ask yourself what the major cause of the frustration might be.
2. Ask if other people might be experiencing the same boredom or frustration as you. A quick look around the room will help with this.
3. Think about how you might do things differently.
4. Write your ideas down
5. When away from the annoying situation, write down some notes about how the situation can be improved for the next time and see what kinds of plans you can make.
Most of the best business ideas come from a place of annoyance and frustration. So the next time you are feeling really irritated, think about these things and who knows, you may be the one to keep future people from suffering through bad conferences, ineffective meetings, and dull entertainment. Turn that frustration into something productive and maybe you won't feel as annoyed right?
