Everyone deals with scarcity when it comes to resources.
We only have so much time, money, ability, etc. and of course we would like more.
So how do we move from scarcity to abundance?
How do we take the limits that we have and surpass them?
We leverage our resources.
Take a look at your current situation. It's pretty easy to identify what you lack. It usually sticks out like a sore thump, but often what doesn't stick out or get any attention at all is what you have. The cynical person just snickers at that statement and claims they have nothing, but I'm sorry, I don't believe it. We may not have much of one thing, but there is usually an abundance in other areas and if we focus on that abundance, we can create abundance in new areas as well. Here's an example:
Person A is broke. He has literally nothing in his bank account. He has no job, He lives in an apartment that costs him money and he is worried about making rent. Person A sits down and asks what he does have. He has the resource of time. Having no job means that there is nowhere this person has to be from 9am-5pm every day so he is actually rich in the resource of time which is someone else's most scarce resource.
Person B is rich. She has obscene amounts of money in her bank account. She is not happy. She never gets to see her kids because she is always at the office dealing with silly tasks. She runs her own business and is always worried that the money will stop coming in. She is rich in the resource of money, but poor in the resource of time.
Person B will gladly pay someone to give her more time. Person A will gladly work for person B for that money. Both people are missing resources, but use the resources they have to get more of the resources they don't.
Your question for today is simple.
What resources are you scarce in?
What resources are you rich in?
How can you use the resources you have to move from scarcity to abundance?
