Remember the Rubik's cube?
I used to spend hours playing with those. There were so many times when I came so close and all I had was literally one square left. I remember playing with that puzzle until I finally got it right and then mixing it up all over again.
The projects we choose to work on are like that puzzle. We're constantly being asked to shift and adjust depending on the scenario. Sometimes we lose a team member, sometimes we lose money, sometimes the weather is bad, and the list goes on and on. The one thing to remember is the importance of consistently experimenting to get to the solutions and most importantly when we get to those solutions, testing different variations until we get even faster.
Think about one of youe current projects.
Are things going the way you hoped they would?
If not, ask yourself what variables there are and start testing.
Maybe you want to change the timeline of the project or the focus of the project or the financial model. Maybe there's another small tweak you can make.
The people who move forward are the ones who are willing to go down many paths and make new discoveries.
So go ahead and start moving that cube around
You may be surprised at what problem you solve.
P.S.- ConnectorCon is coming up and even more folks have been added to the day. There are still some early bird seats. The five pack of tickets is the best deal and there are only a few left. You can grab your tickest by going HERE.
