This week's A.P.T. goes out to Rachel Klein.
Not only is Rachel an amazing choreographer and visionary whose work I suggest you see, she is also a tenacious producer. Ms. Klein has been self-producing, finding partners, and making magic out of very little money for years and no matter the challenge, she always rises to it. For those of you who are aspiring producers, you want to take the time to meet Rachel and see her work, because she is going places and has a producing savvy that many lack.
Her show is filled with comedy, aerial, fantastic costumes, original music, and some of the most talented and versatile performers I have seen. From mind bending contortions to glittery explosions, this is something you will be sad to miss.
All the info is below and if you do decide to check it out, I encourage you to find Rachel afterward and say hello. It's only a matter of time before she soars even higher.
Enjoy the ride.
Excelsior!

A macabre aerial spectacle in expressionistic dance theater, Klein’s choreography evokes 1920s Max Fleisher cartoons and silent film a la Phantom of the Opera. 20 dancers, aerialists, contortionists and musicians embody a ghoulish interpretation of a chorus line that depicts the plot of the interior ballet.Symphony of Shadows offers windows into the nightmare-scape of a tortured imagination.
