So here are my highlights from 2008
January 2008- Started an Assistantship with Ken Davenport and he's the reason you're reading this blog right now. He taught me about blogging, commercial producing, and marketing. If you have the time, I highly recommend working in his office.
February 2008- Began my work as programming director for Self Producing Artists through TRU. If you've never heard of them, check them out. They're amazingly helpful and they're the reason I got the assistantship with Ken.
April 2008- Produced TAKE FIVE, an Ethnodrama with my senior English Class that explored the world of teenagers and raised $1,000.00 for Center Stage NY
May 2008- Produced The Scarecrow with Day Dream Theatre Company from RI
Attended CTI's Three day course and met my associate producer who later collaborated with me to create Hold for The Laughs Next one's 1/21/09!
June 2008- Produced SLEEPER at Manhattan Theatre Source by the guy from this post
Produced and hosted the first ever TRU PRODUCERS BOOT CAMP
July 2008- Produced Director's Reality in the Midtown International Theatre Festival and won the producer's award!
Produced Hot Cripple in the NYC Fringe
Signed on to be on the producing team of ROOMS with the folks at Van Hill Entertainment.
August 2008- Produced the first ever Producer's Sprint with my fantastic General Manager who also directed two of the pieces.
I got PUBLISHED!
October 2008- Co- Produced LaScare Academy with the amazing Impetuous Theatre Group
Met the fine folks behind ZERO
November 2008- Participated in the 6 week CTI Creative Intensive
December 2008- Wrote this list!
